Sleepy Hollow (2013 TV show)

Is anyone else watching this show? I thought that the pilot was a tad hokey, but I was intrigued enough to tune in weekly and I've found myself really liking it for its hodge-podge tone. Sometimes, it's a bit X-Files-y. Sometimes, it's True Blood lite. Sometimes, it's everything and the kitchen sink thrown in.
But it is charming and Tom Mison's Ichabod Crane is charming enough to make most things fly. Except, ya know... pigs.

The show's on a 3 week hiatus until Nov 4 for baseball, I think, so now's a great time for people to catch up or try out the show.

Eh... it may be a good show, but I've had my fill of "re-imagining" fairy tales and classic literature in a modern-day setting. I turn to those stories to get away from the crapfest that is the 21st century, not to bring the stories here.

I'm also pretty tired of shows full of "Agent" this and "Detective" that. You'd never know we were in the middle of a shutdown, considering that everyone on TV works for the government.

Sorry, "Sleepy Hollow"... it's not you, it's me.

I love Sleepy Hollow. It's a patented "why-not" show. (As in, "The Four Horsemen coming to invade? Ichabod Crane pulls a Rip Van Winkle? DEMONS AND WITCHES??? WHY NOT!") And Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie are so great together.
